Students Rising Above (SRA)

SRA is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that works to enable social and economic mobility for first-generation students from low-income backgrounds. Having served nearly 2,000 students on their college-to-career journey, SRA’s unique wraparound approach is rooted in the belief that any student can find success when given access to resources, tools, and social and economic safety nets.

About this Opportunity
We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds, industries, and life experiences who share SRA’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
SRA offers short- and longer-term volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Depending on your experience and interests, you may support students or recent graduates through:
One-on-one virtual coffee chats or informational interviews
Small-group mock interviews
Career panels and industry workshops
Networking and professional relationship-building
Graduate school exploration
Transitioning from college to the workforce
